A few years ago, I woke up with a familiar ache in my chest, the kind that whispers, “there has to be more to life than this.” From the outside, I had everything. A high level career in finance, a life people called successful, but deep down, I knew it was time for a change.

For years, I built a career helping others manage their finances, but something in me wanted to build something of my own, something meaningful, lasting, and deeply personal. Starting a watch brand wasn’t a random idea, it was a dream that had lived in me for years. Inspired by a simple, affordable watch I once bought from Costco when I could barely afford anything else, I knew the power of looking the part even when you’re still becoming it.

RJ Royalty was born out of that moment, out of a desire to create something accessible yet luxurious, something people could wear as reminder that time is limited and it is our most valuable gift.

I lost my grandfather, one of the most grounded and hard-working men I have ever known. He called me before he passed and asked that I come see him, I’m grateful I listened. We sat together, quiet but connected. The following morning, he passed peacefully, that moment changed me.

He reminded me of the importance of time, that nothing was impossible and if I worked hard and believed in myself, I could create a life I was proud of. RJ Royalty is my promise to him and myself. The elephant, heart, and clover in our logo symbolize strength, love, and good luck but also resilience, purpose, and belief.

Every watch I create is a nod to my grandfather, to that young financial advisor version of me trying to look the part, and to you the dreamers and professionals rising toward the life you know you're  meant for.
